Our
recipient is unique. She joined to volunteer in the
community even though she had no affiliation with anyone
within the department. She demonstrates a positive attitude
and a readiness to help out in all aspects of the auxiliary-
breakfasts, dinners and sink duty and whenever possible at
association functions- Fire Prevention Week and rehabs.
She
always smiles even though people can’t see her face because
she prefers to work mostly behind the scene. She can be
called at a minutes notice and be ready to work in whatever
capacity is needed.
Her
other activities and community participation include the
Colonie Elks, Hospice volunteer, her church, and Beltrone
Colonie Seniors. Being active in local politics, most of you
have probably seen her at the polls or Sign Review Board.
She is very involved with her family and all their
activities. Congratulations to this year's recipient
Pat Miller.
